Grape Escapade is an annual wine and food festival held in Panaji every February, run by the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) since 2005. It has grown into one of the largest wine festivals in Asia, drawing wineries, hoteliers and visitors from across the country.

Origins

GTDC launched the festival as a way to promote Goa beyond its beaches, building a reputation around wine, food and lifestyle tourism during the state's quieter season. Over the years it has expanded from a small local gathering into a multi-day event that also strengthens ties between Goa's tourism and hospitality businesses.

How It's Celebrated

Visitors can sample wines from Indian producers, take part in grape stomping, and watch the crowning of the Grape Escapade Queen. The festival also features live music, fashion shows and food stalls spread across the event grounds.
